Marlene Vanderwekken was born in the Lacombe, Alberta area and except for the years that Ken attended veterinary college, has lived in that area her whole life. Marlene has successfully raised four children and now thoroughly enjoys her grandchildren. Marlene has been active in the veterinary industry as a receptionist and part owner with Ken since 2001. Her experience as a receptionist in a busy practice while married to a veterinarian gives her very unique skills as a receptionist and practice manager.

Today, her work centers on managing the practice, scheduling Ken’s days, and addressing clients on the phone and at the office. Clients are familiar with her friendly voice and cheerful attitude. Marlene is very familiar with veterinary procedures since most of them have been used on her animals.
